Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has hammered Zaira Wasim's choice to stop films since it "threatened" her association with her religion.

Earlier early today, Zaira declared on her social media accounts that she was separating with the film industry since it "consistently meddled with my imaan". She likewise said that "no measure of progress, distinction, expert or riches merits exchanging or losing your tranquility or the light of your Imaan for".


"I need to admit that I am not really content with this character, for example, my profession. For quite a while now it has felt like I have attempted to progress toward becoming another person. As I had quite recently begun to investigate and comprehend the things to which I devoted my time, endeavors and feelings and attempted to grasp another way of life, it was distinctly for me to understand that however, I may fit here consummately, I don't have a place here," she composed.

While I kept on working in a domain that consistently meddled with my imaan, my association with my religion was compromised," she included.

Zaira, who made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with Nitesh Tiwari's sports dramatization Dangal, won a National Award for her presentation. Her next discharge is Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, which additionally stars Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar.
